AFFECTIVE-SEXUAL EDUCATION

Objective

This project promotes comprehensive sexuality education in schools, adapted to each developmental stage (Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education).

Its aim is to create safe and open spaces where sexuality can be addressed naturally, helping to break taboos and reduce discomfort or uncertainty for both students and families.

We believe that starting sexuality education from an early age has a positive impact on children’s wellbeing and development.

For this reason, the program includes:

  • Age-adapted workshops for students

  • Training sessions for teachers

  • Online talks and guidance for families

The goal is to strengthen communication, support healthy development and build a stronger connection between schools and families.

Catalonia Spain

The program is organized into three modules (M1, M2 and M3), adapted to each educational stage. For Early Childhood Education (ages 3–5) and Primary Education (ages 6–10), each class group receives at least one 1-hour session per module, while in upper Primary Education (Years 5 and 6, ages 10–12) sessions are extended to approximately 1.5 hours. In Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, sessions range from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the needs and characteristics of each group. All sessions take place during school hours and are designed to integrate naturally into the school context.

Sessions are adapted to each age group and include a variety of participatory activities such as experiments, storytelling and real-life situations, group discussions, videos, role-playing and educational board and card games. These activities help students understand complex concepts related to brain development, relationships and behaviour, while promoting respect for diversity and preventing situations such as sexual harassment.
